A nutritional consult at Listen Today – available in Dutch and English – will enable you to make changes to your diet, changes through which you’ll reach your desired goal, possibly in 1 session. And all of this in the comfort of your own home.

We don’t believe in standard dieting, but are always looking for the cause of your problem. When we do this, we don’t just look at your symptoms, but at the body as a whole. Robien is a registered nutritionist and will give you professional advice to reach your ideal weight, to improve your digestion, to regulate your menstrual cycle, to increase your energy levels, improve your sleep or to be able to deal with allergies and intolerances.

Are you sick and tired of not being able to lose weight? But you’ve tried everything, so you’re accepting that you’re not succeeding?

Or do you believe you’ll just have to live with certain symptoms, cause there’s nothing that can be done about it?

Do you have low energy levels? But believe this is normal when you lead a busy life?

A nutritional consultation at Listen Today will enable you to adjust your diet in the comfort of your own home in such a way, potentially in 1 session, that you’ll reach whatever goal you may have. It partly depends on your situation, but also partly on how flexible you are and on how dedicated you are. But we’ll guide you through it all!

We believe that every person should feel good! Colds, the flu, it can happen of course, but not every year and definitely not multiple times a year. Waking up and feeling rested (there are of course always exceptions ;-)), never having to worry about your weight; it is all possible! We both know the other side and luckily those days are in the past for us. We can pretty much eat whatever we like, pretty awesome right?! But you can too.

According to the CBS statistics, almost half of the Dutch population has at least 1 chronic condition. That means that half of the Dutch population is not feeling healthy. We find this crazy! And we’re not just talking about elderly people; this is about 1 out of 5 young people! These chronic conditions include migraines, eczema, asthma, chronic fatigue, hormonal problems, stress, burnouts, allergies, autoimmune diseases and digestive problems. And we’re not even talking about diabetes, cancer or heart failure. We find these statistics shocking and a sure sign that we, as a nation, are doing something wrong, and our diet is one of the problems.

There are of course many causes for chronic conditions. Stress is a biggy for example. But diet is something you can change with very little effort! You can even use it as a medicine, so let’s do that! 41% of Dutch people are overweight… We get it, we used to think we were eating healthy, but could never maintain a steady healthy weight. We also had symptoms that wouldn’t go away, and we thought that was normal. Little did we know… And don’t blame the doctor, it’s a fact that most doctors did not learn to look at nutrition as a medicine, it simply is not part of their study.



When you purchase a consult, you’ll receive a questionnaire. Which you’ll complete and return to us (you’ll receive detailed instructions on how to do this). The questionnaire gives us information about your health, your lifestyle and other information that’ll help us to know what you need.

We’ll explain to you how to keep a food diary, through your food diary we’ll know exactly what your current eating habits are. You will make use of this food diary for about 3 till 7 days, it depends on your eating habits.

Robien will analyse your diary and within a week you’ll receive a personal advice from her via email. This personal advice will include an eating plan put together especially for you. Usually, this will mean improvements to your current diet (like adding nutrients or taking out certain nutrients), or she may recommend testing for deficiencies. It may also include lifestyle advice. And all of this to make sure you’ll reach your goal.

After your initial consult, you can book a follow-up if you want to dive in deeper. This gives you the opportunity to finetune your diet even more, to ask any remaining questions you may have, to adjust your health goals etc. We can also analyse your food diary again. It is entirely up to you what you want to do in the follow-up consult.



These questions we get a lot, so we’ll start by answering them straight away:


  • What qualifications do you have?
    The consultations will be done by Robien. Through her own bad health
    back in the day, and by not getting any solutions from her doctor, she started studying everything you can imagine about nutrition. Eventually graduating as a nutritionist (bachelor level).
    Note: she’s a registered nutritionist and will be able to help you to improve your diet. But she’s not a doctor and will tell you when she feels she’s not able to help you any further and when she believes you need more than a nutritional consultation.


  • What can a nutritionist help you with?
    A nutritionist can help you with:

    • Your energy levels
    • How to deal with allergies and intolerances
    • A healthy weight
    • An optimal digestion
    • A regular menstrual cycle
    • Sleep


  • Can all of this be done in 1 session? At most you nutritionists you’ll have to go through a long process.
    Yes, it can work in 1 session, but you do need to be willing to embrace changes. It takes time to get healthy, to reach your ideal weight, to feel energized. That doesn’t happen in 1 session. These consults are for people who don’t need us to hold their hand, but who have a certain amount of discipline to make the changes that are needed. It doesn’t take long for us to see where the problem lies and to see what changes you need to make. But you’ll have make them yourself.   • What is a nutritionist?
    Robien is a nutritionist (bachelor level), BATC recognized. In this bachelor, you learn everything about how the human body functions and how you can optimize this. Subjects of this bachelor are: anatomy, physiology, cytology, histology, bones, muscles, digestion system, nerve system, metabolism, the skin, macro and micronutrients: carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and other bioactive nutrients and what effect they have on the functioning of the human body. About symptoms that are (or can be) related to diet, like intolerances, allergies, candida, diabetes, digestion problems, fatigue, migraines, skin problems and about individual diet requirements for athletes, children, elderly, pregnant women. You learn about all important diets, cooking methods and how to prepare and store food in a hygienic way.


  • What is the difference with a dietician?
    This is important to know. A dietician, besides knowledge about diet, also has medical knowledge. A dietician can help you when you have a certain disease, when there is a medical reason you need to change your diet. If you think you need a dietician, I highly recommend picking one out of this list (only in the Netherlands):


  • What is the difference with weight consultant?
    A weight consultant is trained specifically to help healthy people with weight problems. You’ll receive nutritional advice and exercises to reach your goal weight, there is no illness or medical need.


  • What if it doesn’t work?
    If we are not able to help you, we’ll let you know before we give you a consult. Simply put, you will get a refund. If we can help you, it will work, we’ve never experienced our consultation not helping someone. But remember: if you strive to have a super healthy body, then you’ll need to put the work in. Your body can handle a lot, but imagine looking at food as a way to nourish your cells in the most optimal way? This is what we’re going for. If you are too, you’re in the right place.


  • Can we meet up in person?
    At this very moment, we do not have a location where that’s possible, but this will become an option in the future.



We only take on a couple of clients per week, because we are very busy creating online programs are at the same time. We love giving personal advice, but we’ll have to limit it to a couple of clients a week. So if you’re interested, don’t hesitate and book a consult!
